Conceived in 2012, the Friends of Camp Turrell partnered with the Northern New Jsersey Council to build a tri-stage Zip Line over the gorge! The Zip Line is open for operation during Summer Camp and on Special Events.
In conjunction with the Order of the Arrow Lenapehoking Lodge IX, the Friends of Camp Turrell raised money for and helped in the construction of the new Chapel, est. 2018.
Collaborating with NNJC, the volunteers from the Friends have been working hard for the past two years to bring about the renovation of the trading post! WiFi, new floors and siding, and expansion have resulted in a beautiful new trading post!
The Friends believe that off-season program is integral to Camp Turrell! Borrowing from an old favorite, the Friends of Camp Turrell relaunched its annual Fright Night weekend event in 2019!
Along with the trading post expansion, the Friends of Camp Turrell raised $4,000 to donate one of the two newly constructed storage sheds to bolster on and off season program!
One of its foundational projects, the Friends of Camp Turrell renovated the seating in the Campfire Ring overlooking Beaverdam Pond in 2012!
